Conveyancing / Probate Solicitor – Full-time – 2-5 year PQE Plus
Oliver Fisher is seeking an enthusiastic residential and commercial Conveyancer with Wills and Probate experience. More specifically, this opportunity will suit a junior associate that is keen to grow and develop the firm’s Property and Probate practice and perhaps become involved in the Partnership or at least go on to obtain their STEP qualification. The successful candidate will be carrying out high quality work in both residential and commercial conveyancing, Wills, Trusts, LPAs and slightly more general estate administration work. You will be reporting to the Senior Partner with excellent prospects for career progression and development in this role.
Skills Required:
The individual must be able to market and network the department to maintain a client base in the local area and have the following:

Have experience of residential and commercial conveyancing and Probate with between 5-10 years PQE;

Have gained in-depth experience and exposure to commercial property and Probate Law;

Be determined to grow and progress their career in both residential / commercial conveyancing and Probate Law;

Have a loyal and proven track record.
Salary range: £35,000 – £50,000 PA – Depending on experience.
Note: This is an in-office role- there will be no opportunity for remote / home-working.

Trainees & Paralegals: Normally our trainees are recruited initially as Paralegals and, provided we are happy with their performance, they then progress to a training contract. At present we have one trainee.
The qualities we are looking for in a prospective trainee (this is not an exhaustive list) include the following:-
- High academic qualifications. We do not normally consider applicants with less than a 2:1 degree, although we sometimes make exceptions to this rule if other academic qualifications are particularly good;
- Good commercial awareness and ability to use ones initiative when required;
- High understanding of, and approach to, law and procedure;
- Enthusiasm and interest for the areas of law in which the firm specialises;
- Practical experience of the workplace, dealing with a wide cross section of people;
- Experience of working in a legal environment;
- Interests and achievements outside the workplace and the law.
